My No Flour Mac & Cheese Recipe
I love some Mac & cheese but I never made it myself before so I figured why not give it a try! And y’all! I was impressed.
To see how I made it checkout my recipe below!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 stick Butter
-1/2 Cup of Each Cheese: Fontina, White Cheddar, Yellow Cheddar, Gruyere Cheese & parmesan
- 4 Cloves of Garlic
- 1 Medium Shallot
- 1.5 Cup Half & Half
- 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Cups Pasta
- Spices To Taste (salt, pepper, all purpose seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, chicken bouillon & old bay)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Shred cheeses and set a side.
Boil water and add salt. Once the water is boiling add your pasta of choice(I used elbow pasta from Trader Joe’s). Cook until it is very Al dente(about 5-8min).
Chop shallot and garlic and add to a sauce pan with 2 tabs of butter. Once translucent add half & half, heavy cream and spices. When it starts to bubble add 1/4 cup of cheeses slowly while stirring on low heat.
Pour cooked pasta into the cheese sauce and stir until well combined.
Use 1 tab of butter to grease the bottom of the baking dish.
Pour pasta and cheese sauce mixture to the baking pan and layer with the remaining 1/4 cup of cheeses.
Cut up 1 tab of butter to add to the top of the pasta.
Bake for 20 - 30min in a 400 degree oven.
Let cool for 5-10min and serve!
